For students looking for a language and cultural experience we offer a fall semester or full year High School program. Students will live with a host family, attend high school and become part of the community in a setting that offers the opportunity to develop their linguistic ability.
Students also have the option to purchase an English Tutorial Program in Toronto, prior to the start of their Academic program (only available for programs beginning in August). After completion of the 3 week Tutorial, they will move on to their school and host family placement. This final placement will be in one of the three locations listed below.
Halifax, Nova Scotia
As the capital of Nova Scotia and the largest city in the Atlantic provinces, Halifax is the major centre of the Maritimes. With its steep streets, stunning harbour, and the famous Citadel overlooking the city, Halifax is world-renowned for its beauty and character. Visitors are treated to a city with a close connection to the sea, and Halifax thrives on its maritime history having one of the world's largest natural harbours. Halifax is also a gateway to the many of the other treasures that Nova Scotia has to offer.
Whether you are traveling East or West you will always make your way to Winnipeg. As the geographical centre of Canada, Winnipeg is considered the gateway to Eastern and Western Canada. Surrounded by canola and wheat fields, southern Manitoba has some of the most picturesque views in the entire country. Winnipeg is the largest city of the Prairies and boasts the famous street corner of Portage and Main, known as possibly the "windiest corner on the continent".
Winnipeg, the 8th largest city in Canada and Manitoba's largest city, is located in the southern part of Manitoba. This world-class city is renowned for its variety of entertainment, diverse population and high standard of living. You'll find a mix of sophistication and friendliness when you visit.
Regina, the Capital City of Saskatchewan, is located in the southern portion of the province. The city is home to the largest legislative building in Canada and hosts the world renowned Royal Canadian Mounted Police Training Academy and RCMP Heritage Centre.
In the heart of the city you will find Wascana Centre - a 2300-acre urban park, a pristine view of the Saskatchewan Legislature, marina, walking paths, bird watching venues, park area, tennis courts, picnic and BBQ sites. The park also accommodates the Saskatchewan Science Centre and Kramer Imax Theatre, the MacKenzie Art Gallery, and the Royal Saskatchewan Museum.
Aside from the many attractions, Regina is also rich in resources as agriculture, tourism, and oil and gas production fuel the economy.
